Leigh Academy Hugh Christie is delighted to report very successful GCSE results including a significant improvement in overall attainment from 2023 to 2024, improved average grades across all core subjects and a continued upward trend in the academic performance of other subjects. Alongside an improved Attainment 8 score, our students have also secured a higher average grade year on year.
The number of students studying the EBacc qualification has continued to rise at Leigh Academy Hugh Christie and it is incredibly pleasing to see students achieving an improved EBacc average point score also. All subject areas performed well but particularly strong department success was seen in: mathematics, English, sports studies, photography, sociology, and travel and tourism.
