Leigh Academy Hugh Christie is proud to celebrate exceptional Post-16 outcomes, with students achieving impressive results across A-level, BTEC, and other vocational qualifications. Principal, Palak Shah has commended the hard work, determination, and ambition of both students and staff.

“This year’s Post-16 results are a true testament to the resilience, dedication, and perseverance of our students, supported by a committed staff body and their families. Our students have faced challenges with maturity and purpose, and today we celebrate not only their academic success but the values and character that underpin it. These results open doors to exciting futures, and we are incredibly proud of what they have achieved. Key highlights of this year’s outcomes include:

  • A significant increase in the number of students achieving top grades, with nearly 40% of grades awarded at A*-A or equivalent.
  • Over 71% of grades achieved at A*-C or equivalent.
  • Above national average progress across both A-level and vocational subjects.
  • 100% of students who applied to study at universities, have secured their destination with nearly 30% attending the Russell groups of universities.
