Year 13 Parent / Carer Evening

Dear Parents/Carers

Re: Year 13 Parent/Carer Evening on the 22nd January 2025, 4:00pm – 6:00pm.

As you are aware, our Year 13 students have just completed their first set of mock examinations and we are very pleased with their positive mindset and with their approach to this exam series .

Our staff will mark, moderate and quality assure these assessments before we share the results with students. To enhance the mock experience and align it with the public exams, we will be sharing the results with students and parents/carers in a ‘results day’ event. This will coincide with our Year 13 Parents’ Evening, which will take place on Wednesday 22nd January 2025, between 4:00pm and 6:00pm.

This event will be face-to-face and will provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress in their subjects following their mock examinations. Students will be able to collect their mock results from 3.45pm in the hall and you will be able to accompany your child, so that you can discuss the results during the consultation with your son’s/daughter’s class teachers.

Parents’ Evening Booking System – MyChildAtSchool (MCAS)

Appointments to see your son’s/daughter’s class teachers can be booked using the MCAS system. MCAS allows you to choose your own appointment time with the teacher. Appointment slots are 5 minutes to enable staff to speak to as many parents as possible. We require parents and staff to limit discussions to the allocated time to ensure that other parents’ appointments are not compromised.

To book an appointment, please log into your MCAS account and select Parents’ Evening. Appointments can be made from 12pm on 19 December and close at 5pm on 21 January. Should you wish to make any changes after this date or are unable to book appointments, please contact Wendy Pike at [email protected] for further support.
