Dear Parents/Carers
Re: Year 11 Parent/Carer Evening – Wednesday 1st April 2026, 3:00pm–7:00pm
As you are aware, our Year 11 students are now well underway with their second round of mock examinations. We have once again been extremely pleased with the mature, focused and determined approach they have shown during this important stage of preparation for their final GCSE and BTEC examinations.
This second mock series provides a crucial checkpoint. It allows students, staff and families to reflect carefully on progress since the first mocks, identify improvements that have been made, and pinpoint any remaining gaps that now require targeted support. With the final examinations fast approaching, it is vital that we use this opportunity to refine revision strategies, strengthen subject knowledge and ensure every student is fully prepared for the months ahead.
With this in mind, we will be holding an additional Year 11 Parent/Carer Evening, which will take place face to face at the academy. This evening offers an important opportunity for you to discuss your child’s progress directly with their class teachers following the latest mock results. These conversations are essential in ensuring that we are working together with clarity and purpose during this final preparation phase. We strongly encourage all parents and carers to attend, as this evening plays a key role in maximising student outcomes.
Appointments with your son’s/daughter’s teachers can be booked using the MCAS system. Each appointment will be five minutes in duration, enabling staff to meet with as many families as possible. We kindly ask that discussions remain within the allocated time to ensure all appointments run smoothly and fairly.
To book an appointment, please log into your MCAS account and select Parents’ Evening. Appointments can be made from 3pm today until Tuesday 31st March at 12:00 noon. Should you wish to make any changes after this date, or if you experience difficulty booking, please contact your child’s College Admin Team with your preferred subject and time. This information will then be passed to the relevant teacher, who will confirm availability.
