- Component 1 – Human Lifespan Development
You will investigate how, in real situations, human development is affected by different factors and that people deal differently with life events. Assessment – Internally assessed - Component 2 – Health and Social Care Services and Values
You will study and explore practically, health and social care services and how they meet the needs of real service users. Assessment – Internally assessed - Component 3 – Health and Wellbeing

KS5: Health & Social Care
Entry requirements: 5 grades 9-4 at GCSE
The OCR Level 3 Cambridge Technical in Health and Social Care is a vocational qualification that is equivalent to one A-Levels and carries the same UCAS points for university entry. This course uses a mixed-assessment approach, combining both external written examinations (typically making up 40% of the grade and covering mandatory units like Anatomy and Physiology) and internal assignments (coursework) that are center-assessed and externally moderated by OCR (making up the remaining 60%). The overall qualification is graded using a system of Pass, Merit, Distinction, and Distinction*, providing a hands-on and academically rigorous pathway that leads directly to higher education in fields like Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work, and other health-related professions.

- Unit F097: Supporting healthy nutrition and lifestyles – This assignment unit explores the vital impact of diet and physical activity on wellbeing. You study the specific nutritional needs of different individuals and analyze the various social, economic, and psychological factors that influence lifestyle choices.
